{long time no post...here is a sneek peek of the next 99cent pouch that will be posted to wusketeer etsy on april 17th!}

I started making the .99cent laid off pouch for the annual observance of my getting laid off, November 17th, 2008 from a scummy Los Angeles architecture firm. (I will refrain to mention any names and yes I suppose I'm still a little bitter.) I will be making a .99 cent pouch every month for a year which will be posted on the 17th of each month.

Are you one of the laid off, have your hours been cut, mandatory furlough or just short of loot? If so, this is the perfect pouch for you! Could also be given as a cheap gift for a friend you don't really like or a gift for a boss that chaps your hide...

{wusketeer was iffy about doing this craft fair because it was in freakmont and since this was our first show we really didn't know what to expect...BUT we loved showing our stuff there! the venue was sweet, sellers very friendly, and shelby and andrew very helpful, professional and fun. the lil town of niles is friggin awesome too. i could spend an entire day in the record store on H Street. i need to go back soon to shop in the antique stores! thanks to all our family and friends that made it out to support!}

btw...i need to take a course in sales or as waggie says i need to go to finishing school. lolz.

{i made these to hold my used tea bags. they are thrown off the hump, painted with white englobe and etched with a sprout pattern.}

{this lamp took me a long time to finish. the shade took about 12 hours to carve, the round base about 3 months (this i'm not sure about), glazing about 8 hours. the entire process took me about 4 months to complete. for the base, i initially threw a cylindrical shape but decided that didn’t look right so i redesigned and for about 3 months i tried making this round ball shape. if you've seen my birdhouses that i've posted in the past these are actually all of my failed attempts at the lamp base. all of the hardware was bought on the interweb and i wired it myself. viola!}
